Smile Jamaica 2016

Held to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Bob Marley’s iconic Smile Jamaica concert held in 1976.
The original concert was held at the National Heroes Circle before a crowd of more than 80,000 people, only days after an assassination attempt on the popular singer’s life. This year’s staging was held at a smaller however no less significant location; 56 Hope Road, Bob Marley’s former home now turned museum. Smile Jamaica 2016 featured the likes of Third World, Uprising Rootz Band, Dre Island, Kelissa, Black Hero, Feluke, Marla Brown, Runkus and Stephen Marley.
