  • Blackberry’s 26 Advantages over iPhone

The advantages of the iPhone are mostly immediately visible. Its differentiating characteristics are extroverted, shouting them right into your face. However, Blackberry also has numerous advantages, almost all of which are “behind the scenes” and therefore often beyond the comprehension or attention span of most consumers to fully analyze before a purchase decision is made.

  • Guitar Hero: World Tour

    Activision

    Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii

Activision ups the ante with another full band game. It’s even more than full band – it’s got an 8 player battle of the bands mode that is guaranteed to turn anyone into a fierce musical competitor. A new guitar controller (how many of these things do I need in my living room?) and microphone are joined by an authentic electronic drum kit with three drum pads, two raised cymbals and a bass kick pedal. The game boasts a huge selection of classic and modern rock and a huge downloadable library even on the Wii. Check out the FREE downloadable reggae pack which includes Slightly Stoopid's "Jimi", Pepper's "Your Face", and "Sacrifice" from The Expendables.

  • Rock Band 2

    EA

With more instruments and a killer online battle of the bands modes that lets you shred eardrums worldwide, Rock Band 2 totally kicks ass. Create your rocker, form your band, and hit the road seeking fame, fortune, and groupie sex, while learning to master lead or bass guitar, drums, and vocals, or at least the toy versions of the instruments compatible with the game. Create your own songs and share them online. The 84 track setlist includes AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Sonic Youth, And yes, it is backwards compatible with Rock Band downloadable music content. Plus there's the new AC/DC pack if you want your dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

  • Singstar

    Sony

    PS3, PS2

Sony's got a winner for karaoke lovers. Every song is like stepping into a music video. There are a lot of different versions so there's one for everyone. In addition to Volumes 1 and 2, there's also Legends (my favorite) which includes The Police, The Jackson 5, Nirvana and Marvin Gaye, while Country includes Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, and more. And there's even more - Pop, ABBA, 90's, 80's, Rocks, Amped, and other band specific track packs like Queen. If you've got the EyeToy camera you can watch your own video instead of the artist's.

  • Wii Music

    Nintendo

    Wii

Wii Music is an enigma because, unlike other music games, it sets out to have you play over 60 different instruments. Because of this it is hit or miss with whether people enjoy it. You use the Wii remote and nunchuk to "play" guitar, horns, keyboards, drums, sitar, xylophone - you name it. Play alone or form a band either on one Wii or online. You can shoot your own videos as you jam out. This is the easiest music game to play so if you're playing it with or giving it to a kid this is the right fit.
